We acknowledge with gratitude that our work takes place on the traditional territories of many Indigenous nations, including the ancestral and unceded homeland of the Hən̓q̓əmin̓əm̓ and Sḵwx̱wú7mesh speaking peoples (Burnaby); the traditional territory of the Mississaugas of the Credit, the Anishnabeg, the Chippewa, the Haudenosaunee and the Wendat peoples (Toronto); and the traditional territory of the Kanien’kehà:ka, a place which has long served as a site of meeting and exchange amongst many First Nations including the Kanien’kehá:ka of the Haudenosaunee Confederacy, Huron/Wendat, Abenaki, and Anishinaabeg (Montreal).
